Hey everyone, have some dark times coming, my beloved Jen, is losing a loved one…
Grandparents are those people that for most, will have given you some of your fondest memories, I had the privage of having 3 sets… Shaver’s, Durand’s, and Currie’s.
Now because of the accident, and being transplanted to northern Ontario I didn’t get to know my Grandpa Shaver too well, but I still have memories of him teaching me to fly a kite in the fields. My Grandpa Durand would pick all the grand kids up in his Caddy, and take us skiing at Mount McKay, and would always have a good story to tell us on the ride. Grandpa Currie would always pick something out of his massive garden (normally a baby carrot), and wash it off under the hose, and give it to me to snack on when I came by to visit.
I never really got to know Jen’s grandpa, but now I’m hearing all the memories she has, makes me wish I had.
If you can keep him in your thoughts, and remember the time spent, the soul will live on.
