Snow, and visiting family.
Over the last weekend we went to Toronto to visit two of my cousins. Kevin has been in town for a few months working, but with the scheduled he is on, and flying all over the place, if has been hard to hook up with them. Last weekend was special, since one of my other cousins (Mel) was in Toronto with her husband (Mike) from Calagry, he had a business trip, and Mel tagged along. 🙂
Weather was the shits on the way there, almost to the point we didn’t go… all streets in Brantford where really greasy, Jen told me to wait till the highway. Glad I listened, things cleared up, it was slow going at points which would explain the 3 hours to make it to Toronto, with a small run through of the Hammer for a missed appointment… again slow getting out of house/Brantford/highway.
I believe everyone had a great time, Mel was finely able to meet Sophie and Alex, and Kev had his first meeting with the monster man Alex since his arrival.
Just had a chat with great grandma.

Jen also fell in love with Toronto again… in the rush to leave the house we forgot a sippy for Alex, so after our arrival Jen set out on a little trip on foot in the snow to a Shoppers (wasn’t that far). On the way she passed a bunch of little shops and restaurants, and even stopped in at one to grab a tea for the walk back. Hell, she was even mistaken for someone else, as the other person chased her down… guess if anyone has a doppelganger, Toronto would be the place to find them.
Today is a big day, the VDub is offically mine ours, the 3 years of payments is over. 🙂 Now to wait 2-3 months and Jen’s car is paid off too, and save, save, save… want to make sure we have enough saved up for the “suprises” that will pop-up at closing, there is always something.
Oh, I might get the windows tinted… been meaning to do that since I bought the car… 😉
Hmmmm… about 20 days to the big “4” “O” birthday. Really not sure how I feel about this, don’t feel old, but that is a big number…
Oh well 🙂
Only as old as you feel, so I’m in the low 30’s! 😉
